Thank you for taking an interest in this site. During research for a book, one of the many stumbling blocks was finding photos to use. Images get lost, thrown out or as in most cases people move out of the area. One of the main reasons for doing this site is to preserve electronically our history, therefore any help that you can give would be most appreciated. You may even have some cine-film, if suitable we will convert it onto a DVD and let you have a copy, please let us know. Have you any historical photographs that you would like to see on this site? You may have some old school photos (group) or even any sports teams? The photos do not have to be that old, if they are only from a few years ago they could be of interest. What about the fun fair at Croydon Road (pre 1980), Beckenham Free Festival at Croydon Road Rec in 1969 (featured David Bowie). Charter Day in the 30s, the mod/skinhead club on a Friday night in The Three Tuns. The Zodiac Club at The Eden Park Hotel (and the groups who played there in the late 60's and early 70's.) The Manfred Mann concert at Blakes Recreation Ground in the late 60's? What about Elmers End and all the factories? Please contact us or simply upload your images to HERE.
